Jonathan serves as a Financial Strategist for McKinley Carter Wealth Services in Pittsburgh, PA.  In this role, Jonathan works primarily with individuals and families to attain their financial goals.

Jonathan joined McKinley Carter after starting his finance career at PNC Bank, where he worked as Investment Advisor with PNC Wealth Management.  In that role, he managed approximately $250 million in assets and worked with a team of wealth planners, fiduciary advisors, and banking advisors to deliver strategies consistent with client goals and objectives.  Jonathan regularly met with clients to discuss and review financial plans and investment portfolios and to provide market updates.
 
Jonathan particularly enjoys investment management and has a penchant for asset allocation, equity research, and technical analysis.  He has built portfolios using an assortment of separately managed accounts, ETFs, and mutual funds. He utilized alternative assets such as hedge funds, liquid alternatives, covered calls, and structured notes to lower risk and increase return.  Jonathan rebalanced and tactically adjusted portfolios to manage risk and meet client goals.  He also frequently made presentations throughout the Pittsburgh area on the markets and economy.

A cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Jonathan earned a degree in finance and economics.  While in college, he served as treasurer of the Sigma Chi fraternity. Jonathan holds the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) certification, which designates proficiency in technical analysis of financial markets. He is currently enrolled in the CFP® certification program through Boston University.

Jonathan is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and holds a special affinity for his alma mater’s team, the Pitt Panthers.  A resident of Pittsburgh’s South Side, Jonathan also enjoys golfing.
