Julie serves as senior accountant in McKinley Carter's shared services division, specifically working with Willow Glen Capital. In this role, she oversees the tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of balance sheet accounts, account reconciliations, general ledger analysis, and preparing the monthly financial statements. She delivers relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics such as key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets. She assesses the current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes. She provides management with information vital to the decision-making process.

Accomplishments and Honors

Julie spent 20 years of her professional career with ZPLC Accounting. She was the Director of Tax in which she oversaw and coordinated all tax services rendered for clients. She became proficient in tax research in order to comply with the ever-changing tax laws. She assisted clients in responding to these changes in order for them to maintain tax compliance. Her areas of expertise include multistate taxation, individual and business taxation as well as small business consultation. She also gained valuable analytical experience at REM/The Mentor Network. Here she spent 6 years serving in a variety of accounting-related roles. During this time, Julie enjoyed honing her skills of financial review and advisement over numerous state-wide programs.

Community Involvement

Julie passionately serves on the board of Russell Nesbitt, Oglebay Institute, and Wheeling Park Hockey. She and her husband Jeff have three children. Julie and her family truly enjoy all outdoor activities, especially kayaking, fishing, boating, and swimming. She is also an avid Mountaineers football fan.
