PlanAdviser Magazine: McKinley Carter Listed as Top Retirement Plan Adviser for 2nd Straight Year

Wheeling, WV – McKinley Carter Wealth Services ("McKinley Carter"), a wealth management firm with offices in Wheeling and Charleston, West Virginia as well as Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has once again been featured within Plan Adviser Magazine's list of "2012 Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisers".

PlanAdviser Magazine, a national publication that provides comprehensive industry news, regulatory and investment information and research and training to financial advisers, published their list of "2012 Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisers " in their January – February 2012 issue. The list highlighted quantitative standouts, in terms of dollar value of qualified plan assets under advisement as well as number of plans. Additionally, the list highlighted those who have a demonstrable presence, defined as having more than a tenth of their practice focused on 403(b) plans, defined contribution plan, nonqualified plans, or 457 plans.

This year's "Top 100" was comprised of 40 advisers and 60 adviser teams. Tom Anthony, with McKinley Carter Wealth Services, was among the 40 advisers listed. Anthony received recognition on the list as a Retirement Plan Adviser with 50 to 70 plans under advisement. As stated by Plan Adviser Magazine, “Skilled retirement plan advisers have been indispensable resources to their plan sponsor clients. Size isn’t everything, of course—but it is an objective measure of success, and one well worth acknowledging.”

To compile the "Top 100" list nominations were solicited online from retirement plan advisers, their employers and/or broker/dealers, and plan sponsors, as well as from working partners of the advisers, including investment vendors, accountants and attorneys, and pension administrators. Advisers who have attained the PLANSPONSOR Retirement Professional (PRP) designation receive an automatic nomination. The "Top 100" list is based solely on quantitative factors.
