Financial Strategist

Deborah A. Moses is a Financial Strategist for McKinley Carter serving the investment needs of the firm’s private wealth and nonprofit clients. Debbie also serves as the Chair of the Investment Communications Committee.

Debbie developed her investment expertise while serving as a portfolio manager in the private asset management groups at leading financial services institutions. She has over 20 years of experience serving the investment needs of individuals, families, small businesses, and trusts. 

As the first Executive Director of PowerLink, a regional nonprofit dedicated to advancing women-owned businesses, Debbie developed a deep understanding of small businesses and their challenges. At Fifth Third Bank (W. PA) she had the opportunity to blend her nonprofit and investment experience by helping establish the Charitable Services Group.

Debbie earned her B.A. in history from Penn State University and her M.S. in public policy analysis from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) as well as the recipient of the CMU Alumni Service Award and the Federal SBA "Advocate for Women in Business" Award.

Debbie is an active member of the Pittsburgh community, serving as an advisor or board member for various nonprofit organizations, including CCFA of Western PA (Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America), The Pittsburgh Foundation Arts Scholarship Committee, PROGRESS (The Program for Research & Outreach for Gender Equity in Society at Carnegie Mellon University), and Senior Hearts Rescue & Renewal.
