Client Coordinator or Associate Financial Strategist – Financial Planning & Investments (Charleston, WV)

McKinley Carter Wealth Services is seeking candidates for Client Coordinator or Associate Financial Strategist, depending upon qualifications and experience, to be responsible for client service, relationship management, and client administration in its Charleston, WV office.  Designated as a 2017 Five Diamond Employer by the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, McKinley Carter Wealth Services is a fast-growing wealth management firm that provides financial planning, wealth/investment management, and other services to individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.

The Client Coordinator or Associate Financial Strategist will work directly with lead advisors in Charleston to deepen client relationships and assist in the delivery of financial planning and wealth/investment management services to clients. 

Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities
  • Attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm about personal/professional growth and being part of a high-performing team
  • Series 65 license preferred
  • Registered Paraplanner (RP) or other professional designation preferred (e.g. CRPC, AIF, etc.)
  • 3+ years of client service experience within the financial services industry (RIA, Broker/Dealer, Bank, Insurance)
  • Ambition to become a lead financial advisor (Associate Financial Strategist only)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, database management, and internet-based software programs
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Coordinate ongoing client communication
  • Assist with preparation of financial plans
  • Coordinate response to client requests/inquiries and proactively manage next action steps
  • Prepare material for client meetings; participate in meetings; perform follow up
  • Prepare and manage client paperwork
  • Assist with investment research

Financial Strategist – Financial Planning & Investments (Wexford, PA)

McKinley Carter Wealth Services is seeking an experienced financial advisor who is personable, technically-skilled, and passionate about client care to serve as Financial Strategist in our Wexford, PA office.  Named to CNBC’s 2015-2016 list of the Top 100 Fee-Only Wealth Management Firms, McKinley Carter Wealth Services is a fast-growing company that provides financial planning, wealth management, and trust services to individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.

The Financial Strategist will be dedicated to meeting our clients’ comprehensive wealth management and investment needs through our considered approach to their total financial situation. 

Only advisors with portable books of business will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Establish, build, and retain client relationships
  • Lead discovery discussions to learn about clients’/prospects’ objectives and concerns and to gather information about their current financial situation
  • Perform analysis of clients’/prospects’ basic and advanced financial issues and opportunities
  • Prepare customized, comprehensive financial plans
  • Educate clients about their investment allocation and relevant financial issues
  • Respond to client requests and inquiries
  • Manage next action steps and resolve client concerns
  • Assist with investment research
  • Assist with marketing and sales initiatives
  • Follow established firm-wide standard practices
Qualifications:
  • Series 65 (or 66) license required
  • CFP or other professional designation preferred (e.g. CPA, PFS, JD, etc.)
  • 5+ years of prior client experience within the financial services industry (RIA, Broker/Dealer)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and maintain client base
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, database management, and internet-based software programs
